It's not usually suitable for people with other types of hair loss , such as the type that causes bald patches alopecia areata. All independent clinics and hospitals that provide cosmetic surgery in England must be registered with the CQC.

Be careful when searching the internet for clinics that do hair transplants. Some pay to advertise their services on search listings. It's important to find a surgeon who is qualified and experienced in carrying out this type of surgery. They should be listed on the specialist register and have a licence to practise.

You should be given a spray to use to help recovery and hair growth. You need to be very careful with your transplanted hair for the first 2 weeks after your operation. The grafts will not be secure.
